Join Us at The Mark Day Summer Institute 2023
Jenna Chandler Ward and I have designed a four-day summer institute for classroom teachers and school leaders. It includes pathways for both white and BIPOC/multiracial educators to rethink pedagogical approaches and curricular topics as well as to develop explicit, skills-based antiracist practice. We are so excited for this learning experience because we typically offer our workshops as white antiracist affinity spaces. This institute provides a unique opportunity for us to offer a range of experiences for teachers and educational leaders of all racial backgrounds. Cynthia Pesantez, founder of Comadre Speakers Collaborative, will join us to create affinity space for educators of color and to help us model what cross-racial solidarity looks, sounds, and feels like.
We are so grateful to Mark Day School for hosting and sharing our vision for partnerships in antiracism projects.
